About Us and Our Services

St. Elizabeth’s Way discovered that there were no outreach dinners available in Wilkes Barre. Consequently, they embarked on a search for a suitable venue to serve and were warmly welcomed by St. Stephen’s Church on South Franklin Street. Initially, they commenced serving dinners on two Fridays each month. Through diligent efforts, they successfully assembled a formidable coalition of like-minded churches and organizations. Gather Community Space provided them with additional space to utilize. Currently, St. Elizabeth’s Way oversees dinners three times a week for anyone in the community who may benefit from a complimentary meal. They have established a partnership with the “CEO” Commission on Economic Opportunity and operate a choice pantry from their church in Bear Creek twice a month. In addition to these initiatives, St. Elizabeth’s Way conducts wellness checks and offers support, meals, and mobility aids to seniors. Furthermore, they sponsor families in need and provide Christmas gifts. St. Elizabeth’s Way also collects new jackets each fall to distribute to those in need at G.A.R. School.
